For Those Customers Entering and Departing the United States
(Ban on all Lighters as Carry-on Item) |
|
| Dear ANA Customers, |
| |
| The U.S. Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) has issued a new rule that bans all lighters from being
carried on commercial aircraft. Effective 14 April 2005, all lighters no longer
will be allowed in carry-on baggage or on the person. |
| |
| Lighters without fuel are permitted in checked-baggage. Customers also must
be aware that the TSA has announced they cannot return any prohibited items to
customers or airlines after they have been confiscated. |
| |
| Any lighters confiscated by the TSA must be abandoned at the checkpoint. Similarly,
ANA cannot hold or return prohibited items for customers. |
