ANA Information
For Those Customers Entering and Departing the United States
(Ban on all Lighters as Carry-on Item)
Dear ANA Customers,

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a new rule that bans all lighters from being carried on commercial aircraft. Effective 14 April 2005, all lighters no longer will be allowed in carry-on baggage or on the person.

Lighters without fuel are permitted in checked-baggage. Customers also must be aware that the TSA has announced they cannot return any prohibited items to customers or airlines after they have been confiscated.

Any lighters confiscated by the TSA must be abandoned at the checkpoint. Similarly, ANA cannot hold or return prohibited items for customers.
