Wind Shear Warning
The Wind Shear Warning System prevents the airplane from crashing due to an encounter with wind shear. The system employs such information as changes in aircraft speed to detect the aircraft encountering wind shear, and then issues a verbal warning. A forward-looking wind shear warning system, which has recently become viable, uses radar in the forward direction to detect wind sheer before the airplane actually encounters it, and issues a verbal and visual warning.
All ANA aircraft have the conventional wind shear warning system, and we are endeavoring to become a forerunner in Japan and increase the number of planes equipped with forward-looking wind shear warning systems.
