Requests for avoid the use of electric and electronic devices during takeoff takeoff and landing
Question:
Why must I turn off the power of my cellular phone/PHS?
Answer:
Cellular and PHS phones do not merely receive radio waves when switched on, they send them continually to inform the ground station of their position. These radio waves are stronger than most people imagine and may have an adverse effect on the aircraft's navigational systems.
Please, from the moment you board until after you deplane, avoid the use of electric and electronic devices, and in particular, make sure to turn off your cellular/PHS phones.
