| ANA and TAP to Start Frequent Flyer Tie-up |
|
| |
|
TOKYO February 25, 2005 – ANA and TAP Portugal
will tie up their Frequent Flyer Programmes (FFP) from March 14th,
in preparation for TAP’s forthcoming membership of Star Alliance
later this year. March 14th also marks the 60th anniversary of Portugal’s
premier airline.
From that day, members of ANA Mileage Club (AMC) and TAP FFP will
be eligible to accrue and redeem mileage on the networks of both
airlines, giving them greater choice and freedom in how they use
one of the most popular airline benefits.
For AMC members this means they can accrue and redeem award tickets
on any flight on the extensive TAP Portugal network, reaching across
25 countries globally and in particular to South America.
TAP FFP members can also make the most of travel on ANA to 22 international
destinations or to 49 cities in Japan, taking advantage of special
offers during the Star Alliance Visit Japan Campaign to thoroughly
acquaint themselves with the Land of the Rising Sun, all the while
accruing mileage. Japan will also host the 2005 World Expo in Aichi,
close to Nagoya, between the months of March and September, giving
another reason for visitors to come in 2005. |
