Eligible Flights
International flights with ANA·Air Nippon flight numbers are eligible. In addition,2 airline companies may be used on one itinerary.
Code share flights operated by Air Japan may be accepted with ANA flight numbers only.
Code share flights carrying ANA or Air Nippon flight numbers, operated by other airlines, excluding some cases, cannot be used for ANA International Flight Awards.(ANA Connection* can be used for ANA Flight Awards.) Code share flights with ANA flight number, operated by a Star Alliance member airline, should be requested as Partner Flight Awards.
*ANA Connection: A connecting service at Narita Airport for domestic and international flights from/to Narita Airport including code share flights operated by partner airlines of IBEX Airlines and Air Central.

Sector
Flight Awards of up to 8 sectors (a maximum of 4 sectors in Japan) are permitted in the travel itinerary.
At least 2 international sectors must be used per itinerary.
Mileage required for flight awards is calculated based on the distance of all sectors (total of basic mileage for each sector).
Mileage is applied at the highest seasonality out of the relevant departure dates for all international flight sectors.
Required
Mileage at the highest seasonality amongst the departure dates of all international flights will be applied, so the required mileage will be 50,000 miles in the regular season (9,001~11,000 mileage category).

From 355 days prior to 4 days prior to the date of departure excluding of departure date itself (or four business days prior for members whose registered address is outside Japan).

[ Ticketing period ]
As soon as the reservation for all sectors are confirmed, tickets will be issued. In the event that the ticket issue period has been announced, ticketing must be completed within that period. Please note that reservation will be automatically canceled if ticket was not issued within period. If reservations and ticketing are not completed by 14 days prior to the departure date, the reservation will be cancelled.

[ Waitlisting ]
A ticket needs to be issued at least 14 days prior to the departure. Please note that waitlisting requests are automatically canceled if tickets have not been issued. New wait listing reservations cannot be accepted within 13 days of departure.

[How to Receive Award Tickets]
"Smart e-Ticket" applies to some routes. There is no need to use a paper ticket with "Smart e-Ticket" It's very convenient and, once a reservation is confirmed, all you need to do is check-in at the airport.
Please receive Award Ticket by postal mail, e-mail, or collection from an ANA branch office (excluding airports). Award Tickets can only be sent by postal mail or e-mail to the member's registered address.
Conditions
Stopover
Up to 3 stopovers (stay exceeding 24 hours) are permitted per itinerary. (When departing from overseas, only one stopover is permitted in Japan. When departing from Japan, stopovers in Japan are not permitted.) Only one stopover is permitted per city. Surface transport within the itinerary is considered as a stopover.

Other itinerary
The departure airport and final destination in the itinerary can be different, but must both be in the same country.
The place or country of original departure cannot be used as a transfer point to a final destination.
Transportation Rules
According to transportation rules between two domestic points, itineraries departing from continental USA to Guam via Japan using ANA flights only are not eligible. Similarly, itineraries with ANA flights between Guam and the continental US via Japan are not allowed.
Mixed Classes
When different classes are used for up to two international sectors per itinerary, half of the mileage required per class is to be added. For three or more sectors, calculation of the required mileage is based on that required for the highest class.
Issuance of open tickets
Dates can be open when issuing the tickets, but if you are requesting to make your departure date open, the required mileage will apply to the regular seasonality level. After a ticket is issued, please make the reservation before boarding within the validity period. Open tickets cannot be issued over the Internet, so please contact the ANA Mileage Club Service Center or overseas AMC Service Center.
Connecting to Japan Domestic flights
Only ANA's Japan domestic flights can be used. (IBEX Airlines flights cannot be used.)
When connecting from ANA's Japan domestic flight with ANA flight numbers (including ANA Connection) to ANA international flights or vice versa, required mileage must be calculated based on all sectors including international flights for award usage.
However, stopovers (stay exceeding 24 hours) are not permitted. When departing from overseas, only one stopover is permitted in Japan.
Reservations are accepted for regular seats only on Japan domestic flights.
Infant
When an infant (under age 2 for international flights) is traveling with Flight Award Ticket, the infant may hold a seat if redeeming the same amount of miles as an adult. On the other hand, if the infant is not using the award, a separate ticket with infant fare (no seat) or child fare (able to hold a seat) on the same class as the adult must be purchased.

As shown on the left, 1 year old* child may sit on the lap of the adult (infant fare) and 2 year old* child must redeem Flight Award using the same amount of mileage as an adult or purchase child fare ticket.

Children
Children (2 years old - Under 12 years old* on international flights) using Award Flights require the same mileage as adults.

Validity of International Flight Awards
Travel must commence within one year from the date of ticket issue. The validity is one year from the date of departure.
If the date of departure on the ticket is changed, then the award ticket is valid one year from the new departure date. If the date of departure on the ticket is changed to a new date after the original departure, you are required to start the travel within one year after the date of issue.
Changes
Once the application is submitted, the passenger name and the name of the person whose mileage is being redeemed cannot be changed.
After ticketing, you can change departure date within a ticket available period. No changes are permitted to carriers, passenger's name, sectors, stopover point, transit point, and cabin class. If a sector is operated by multiple carriers out of ANA and Air Japan (including ANA Connection), a carrier change is permitted within the same sector.
The required mileage must be adjusted if a change in the departure date affects the seasonality. When the required mileage increases, the date will be changed after redeeming the difference in mileage. If there is not enough mileage required to adjust the difference in value, the reservation cannot be changed. If the required mileage decreases, the difference in mileage will be refunded. However, please note that mileage cannot be refunded if the validity has expired at the time of refund. Adjustment cannot be made other than by mileages, i.e., not by cash.
Reservations can be changed until 1 day before departure. Please contact the AMC Service Center or Overseas AMC Service Center. Reservation only for Japan domestic flight sectors, date change must be made 4 days prior to your departure date.
You can only change the date outside of application deadline date, which is 4days from the day you made initial booking.
Please note that some routes are subject to seasonal operation and cancellation.
Reservations may not be accepted more than 355 days prior to the boarding date.
Waitlisting
 
A ticket needs to be issued 14 days prior to the departure. Please note that waitlisting are automatically canceled if tickets have yet to be issued. Wait listing booking cannot be accepted within 13 days of departure.
Notes for Using Awards
 
"Awards User Registration (up to ten persons)" is required for those other than the member to use an award. Please register through the member's exclusive functions area on ANA SKY WEB, or request an "Award User Registration Form" from the AMC Service Center. The award user may be asked to provide documentation proving a family relationship with the member.

Seats for Flight Awards are subject to availability at all times(Award seats may not be available on some flights.) Please note that seats may be unavailable for awards, even if seats are available for paid tickets.
Please note that there may be seasonal operations or cancellations(There may be cancellations even if flights are listed on the award itinerary for each chart.)
Any associated charges such as taxes, airport fees, special fuel costs arising from the award acquisition or use must be covered by the award user. Required tax, airport fee, special fuel cost, etc. must be paid in advance upon ticket issue by the member or when using the passenger's credit card.
Please use tickets in the order itinerary segments are listed on the ticket.
Flight Awards are ineligible for mileage accrual.
In the event of flight delays or cancellations, alternative means of transportation or accommodation will not be provided.
Except for eligible cases which fall under "Award Mileage Refund Services". Miles that have been redeemed once for awards cannot be returned to the mileage account or exchanged for other awards even before the award reaches the member's registered address or in the event that the award has not been used.
