Q.9 Would you please explain who is eligible to register for the FA service, in practical terms ?
The husband is assigned to a position in Germany and takes his wife and three children along with him.
However, the husband's parents remain in Japan, and their registered address remains in Japan.

In this case, five family members, not including the husband's parents, are eligible to register for the FA service.

One of the children of a seven-member family stationed in New York moves to London to study.

In addition, the five family members except the husband and this child returns to Japan.

In this case, two family members-the husband and the child studying in London-are eligible for FA service registration. Since other five members will return to a registered address in Japan, their membership for the service will expire.
