Start of Collecting Advance Passenger information (API) for Passengers Entering into Japan
Please be informed that the Japanese Government introduces new legislation as part of measures for the prevention of terrorism and requires carriers to report passenger's information (passport information) before arriving into Japan on/after February 1st, 2007.
 
1. Starting Date
February 1st, 2007
 
2. Applicable Flights
All flights arriving in Japan from the outside Japan
 
3. Applicable Passengers
All passengers boarding on the applicable flights
 
4. Passenger's Information to Be Provided to ANA
Passenger Name, Nationality, Date of Birth, Gender, Passport Number, Passport Expiration Date
 
5. How to Collect Passenger's Information (Passport Information)
(1) Passengers arriving in Japan from the outside Japan
Passenger's passport information will be collected at the time of check-in for the flight departing to Japan. It is not required to collect passport information at the time of reservation. However, for passengers departing from the following airports, you are asked to provide it at the time of reservation or purchase your ticket due to airport facility and system conditions.
  - Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)
- Tianjin (TSN)
- Shenyang (SHE)
- Dalian (DLC)
- Xiamen (XMN)
- Qingdao (TAO)
- Guangzhou (CAN)
- Hangzhou (HGH)
- Beijing (PEK)
   
(2) Passengers whose itinerary is departing from and arriving in Japan
Passenger's passport information will be collected at the time of check-in for the flight departing from Japan.
It is not required to collect passport information at the time of reservation.
