Award Redemption Based on Distance
Various short and long distance travels to choose from!
Mileage required for Japan domestic flight awards were 15,000 miles and mileage required for flight awards and upgrade awards for international flights were separated by itinerary zones.
Starting April 2008

There will be a new award chart for both Japan domestic and international flights based on distance.

By introducing new chart, round trip flight awards under 600 miles (such as Tokyo~Osaka) can be redeemed with 12,000 miles. Also, round trip flight awards ranging from 601~1600 miles (such as Tokyo~Sapporo/Kagoshima) and 1601~2000 miles (such at Tokyo~Okinawa) can be redeemed with 15,000 miles and 18,000 miles, respectively.

Selection for award redemption was limited for a balance under 15,000, but now you will have more options.

Yes, now you can easily use their miles for even short distance travels. Also, since the required miles depend not only on distance, but on the 'season' as well, take a look at the renewed chart to fully enjoy your travels.
